Debate Graph is a

 web-platform for visualizing and sharing networks of thought – and opening reasoning and action to collaborative questioning and iterative improvement.

Debate Graph for me marries two of my favorite tools, concept mapping and web 2.0 collaboration.    Teachers can set up a base graphic map, and have students add to it, or they can let the students drive the whole thing.  It comes with privacy settings which allow teachers to restrict visibility via “communities.”

Below is a link to map I made as a starter map on a conversation on climate change for an environmental science class. If you like concept maps as I do, I think you’ll really love this tool as an alternative to what can often be a dry discussion board
